Feeding ES cells

ES cells have to be fed every day.

Amount of media required:

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT MEDIA:
It is important to have fresh media on hand (no older than 1 week). Look to make sure nothing is growing in your ES media to prevent contamination and that the media has a red-orange color.  If the media is very pink/red it is changing pH and should be discarded.  Keep the media refrigerated at all times, except when warming it to room temp to feed the cells. Warming the media can be done by either taking your media out of the fridge and keeping it on the benchtop for 20-30 min. or placing it in a 37 C waterbath.  It is important not to leave your media out at too high a temperature; this will speed up the break down of salts and other components in the media necessary for the ES cells.
